Riyadh Metro Awards Approximately $1.5 Billion in Train Contracts

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City signed contracts worth about SAR 5.5 billion, equivalent to approximately $1.5 billion, for 94 additional Riyadh Metro trains from Siemens and Alstom. Deliveries are expected to begin in phases in 2028, increasing the planned fleet from 183 to 277 trains. Infrastructure operators require capacity modelling, project monitoring and reliable maintenance planning.
